chronology

Avid comic collectors have long struggled to not only rediscover old, lost Escapist and Luna Moth tales but also figure out when and where they came from. After seeing various turn-overs to various companies with questionable record keeping and a habit of reprinting, the Empire heroes stories have become a challenge for comic scholars trying to arrange them in any sort of chronological sequence. Add to the confusion the Kavalier and Clay seem to have used various pseudeunyms over the years and the infamous "Wild Years" during the 60s and you have quite the challenge.

As such, this is a compilation of all of the stories that have seen print in Dark Horse's Michael Chabon Presents The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist. Some are new, but for the most part, the rest were reprints, and as the company has yet to produce a definitive list of the stories' first publishing dates, this list attempts to approximate or provide whatever dates it could.

For a chronologial listing of all Empire hero stories, including the ones not currently being republished, visit the Earth-K Timeline.
