826 Valencia/826 NYC - The two 826's are non-profit writing centers for children. Both Michael Chabon and Ayelet Waldman support the organizations, and they certainly look cool. Especially the NYC one, because, hey, who can't love a superhero store?

Ayelet Waldman - The official site of Michael Chabon's wife, Ayelet Waldman. Waldman is an author as well, so you may want to check out her site and find out about her Mommy-Track mystery series.

Earth-K Timeline - An interesting chronological index of all the fiction comics related to the Escapist. Quite extensive.

Houdini (MagicTricks.Com) - Tons and tons of information about the World's Most Famous Magician!

Jack Kirby Collector - A bi-monthly publication for collectors of all things Kirby!

Lambiek.Net - An excellent resource for those looking for more info on comic book history and creators, including those who have worked on The Escapist.

The Legend of the Golem - Nice bit of background for those of you who want to know more about golems.

McSweeney's - Literary quarterly to which Chabon occassionally contributes.

The Michael Chabon Fan Site - A small site and possibly the only other fan site dedicated to Chabon. Features book summaries, links to interviews, and a short biography.

Minnow - Blog maintained by a film crew adapting Ayelet Waldman's short story "Minnow."

The Mysteries of Pittsburgh (Official Film Site) - Contains behind-the-scene videos, cast and crew biographies, and a plot synopsis for the film adaptation of Chabon's first novel.

Significant Jewish Books - The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay Study Guide - Hosted by the UAHC, this site is a great reference for while you are reading the novel. Even I use it.

Steranko - There aren't a lot of great sites out there dedicated to Steranko, but this is a good resource for just about anything you'd want that relates to him.

Will Eisner.Com - The official site for the genius behind The Spirit.

Wonder Boys Movie Site - Fan site for the film adaptation of Chabon's second novel. Features a thorough (though out of date) Chabon biography.

A Word Game - A crazy little game involving all of the Yiddish words featured in Kavalier & Clay.

Zap Cartoons Cartoon Genius Biographies: Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster - A great biography of the two, including information about how they lost out on potential millions.
