NOT QUITE TERRESTRIAL (DRAFT ONE) #2
BY NATE RAYMOND

PAGE 1, SPLASH PAGE

Alien-Girl should be flying over the city, her school backpack on her back. She should be flying in an “up, up, and away” type of pose, heading to the right of the page. Oh, and have the Space Needle in the background and it be night time.

PAGE 2, 3 PANELS

Panel 1
Sierra flies through her house window (it open).

CAPTION
God, it’s been such tiring day, with school and crime fighting. Glad I can just sit down and rest...

Panel 2
Matt’s in her room sitting on either a chair or Sierra’s bed (doesn’t matter much really) reading a magazine with Alien-Girl on the cover.

CAPTION
...with Matt.

CAPTION
God, I love him.

MATT
Hi, Sierra. Have you read this thing yet? It’s hilarious!

Panel 3

SIERRA
Why? What’s it say?

MATT
Well, according to this, you’ve been arrested, like, twenty times, are dating DiCaprio, and are the real life Darth Vader.

SIERRA
Heh heh. Cool.

PAGE 3, 4 PANELS

Panel 1

MATT
Sorta getting to be rediculous, huh?

SIERRA
No kidding. I’ve been a superhero for two months and already I’m a bigger deal than the president. Ridiculous is an understatement.

Panel 2

MATT
Well, at least you’ve got your powers.

SIERRA
True. I’ve gotta be the only girl in the world who can fly and lift one hundred pounds with one hand without even struggling.

MATT
Plus, you can read minds. You can know exactly what I’m thinking right now!

Panel 2
Silence.

Panel 3

MATT
Don’t even think about it.

PAGE 4, 3 PANELS

Panel 1
Matt, Sierra (still in Alien-Girl costume), and the window should be visible in all three panels.

MATT
So, what’cha going to do the rest of the night?

SIERRA
Oh, I don’t know. Probably stay home.

Panel 2
Silence, but both of them should be looking at the window, thinking the same thing.

Panel 3
Both of them are gone and the window is wide open.

PAGE 5, 3 PANELS

Panel 1
Matt and Sierra are flying through the sky, both with a smile across their face. Matt should either be next to Sierra holding her hand or being held underneath Sierra by the hands.

MATT
You know, no matter how many times we do this, it’s still fun as heck.

Panel 2
Sierra should look a little troubled.

SIERRA
So... I hear you and Cristy are a couple now.

MATT
Yep.

Panel 3

SIERRA
Did you ask her or was it the other way?

MATT
She asked me.

SIERRA
Cool.

PAGE 6, 3 PANELS

Panel 1
More focus on the troubled Sierra, but Matt should still be able to be seen.

SIERRA THOUGHT
Dang it, Matt, why’d you have to do that right when I thought we were becoming a “thing”?

Panel 2

SIERRA THOUGHT
I mean, what does she have that I don’t? I’ve got superpowers, for cryin’ out loud!
Still, Cristy and Matt are my friends. I can’t break them up for my own gain.

Panel 3
Sierra and Matt are now coming back to Sierra’s house. Focus on the window from a behind view of Sierra (in other words, we should be seeing Sierra’s shoes instead of her face).

SIERRA THOUGHT
Besides, it’s not like I’m supposed to have a boyfriend. Dad freaks whenever I mention the possibility.

PAGE 7, 2 PANELS

Panel 1
They come back into Sierra’s room through the window.

MATT
God, that was great! What’cha wanna do now?

Panel 2
Close up on their faces. Sierra looks a bit scared.

SIERRA
We could go to the theater and watch Psych–

SFX
CLANK

SIERRA
What was that?

PAGE 8, 4 PANELS

Panel 1
Sierra pops her head out of her door.

MATT
Do you see what it is?

SIERRA
I’m looking.

Panel 2
View of the hallway to the left of Sierra’s room. Everything looks peachy.

Panel 3
View of the wall in the hall opposite of Sierra’s room. There should be one or two photos to make it look less boring. Like the previous panel, everything’s normal.

Panel 4
View of the hallway to the right of Sierra’s room A vase should be lying on the floor shattered, a window at the end of the hall is broken, and S-409 should be diving through the air towards Sierra, her claws retracted, her teeth flaring, and there’s a look in her eyes telling Sierra she’s dead meat.

S-409
RAHHH!!!

PAGE 9, 4 PANELS

Panel 1
S-409 slams into Sierra, pushing her to the ground.

MATT
What the heck is that?!

S-409
Who you calling “it,” boy?

Panel 2
Sierra punches S-409 in the jaw. It should feel like a sting to S-409 and nothing more. Not cause it was a soft punch, since it wasn’t, but since S-409 can tolerate that type of pain.

SFX
WAM

Panel 3
S-409 slashes Sierra across the face. There is a lot of rage in S-409 at this point, much more than before. Also, Sierra is, put simply, is in a whole lot of pain. Lots of blood.

SFX
SLASH

Panel 4
Sierra’s looking at Matt with a really annoyed/mad look.

SIERRA
A little help would be nice!

PAGE 10, 4 PANELS

Panel 1
Matt grabs a sharp fragment of the shattered vase off the floor.

Panel 2
Matt thrusts the piece with all his might into S-409's back. You may want to consider using some manga-speedlines to add effect.

Panel 3
S-409, already feeling a lot of shock/pain, is kicked through the window by Sierra.

Panel 4
Matt and Sierra look out the window as S-409 runs away.

PAGE 11, 3 PANELS

Panel 1
View of Sierra and Matt looking out the window from outside of the window itself.

SIERRA
Geez, that was weird!

MATT
Congratulations, Alien-Girl. You just fought your first super-villain.

Panel 2
The two begin walking down the stairs.

MATT
Still wanna go see a movie or do you want to call it a night?

SIERRA
Hey, I’m not going to let some cat-girl ruin my nigh. Just let me call the police about that thing and get then I’ll get dressed.

Panel 3
Close up on Sierra and Matt in shock. The panel should only view their eyes down to the bottom of their noses for suspense and surprise.

SIERRA
Oh my God...

PAGE 12, SPLASH PAGE

Sierra’s dad is lying on the floor, beat, bloodied, and injured. Sierra and Matt should look like any kid would look if they were to find their parents like this.

SIERRA
DAD!!!

CAPTION
To Be Continued (Duh!)...
